Harvest History
Harvest Christian Fellowship started as a mission of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Groton, CT, in 1994. It actually grew out of a Care Group that Pastor Randy and Leigh Anne were asked to lead when they attended Pleasant Valley in 1989. We began meeting in what was then The Connecticut Yankee Inn, later moved to the Niantic Cinema, then to a storefront on Pennsylvania Ave, and finally, to our current location in 2004.
Randy Hyde & Leigh Anne
Pastors
Both Randy and Leigh Anne are graduates of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. Randy is a native of Groton, CT, and Leigh Anne is from Kansas City, Missouri. Randy also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and received his Master's Degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. During that time, Leigh Anne also worked for the 700 Club, providing telephone counseling and fundraising.
The Hyde's have four children and twelve grandchildren.
