'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.'

Why we give.
It is all about Jesus. Go after Him, and seek Him first and foremost.
Tithing is not simply a demanded contribution of one's money to a church, but rather, it is the giving of one's heart and will to the Lord. Demonstrating to the Lord that His provisions are more than enough and returning to Him a tenth of His gift is an honor for a believer. This is the one area in Scripture in which God tells us to test Him and see if He "will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need." (Malachi 3:10)
